Hi,
I am a mother of 6 children who separated from their father 2 years ago. I was living in Spain for 4 yrs until May 2008.
My children were physically and mentally abused by him, to the extent of severe bruising and my son needing alot of help. I never reported the abuse, but many friends/ familt saw his aggression in Spain and the U.K.
On returning back to the U.K., there father, who they have not seen for 2 years, turned up at the house and I was issued a court order, as he wanted access, contact orders and for me not to be able to take the children out of the country!
My eldest children 16 and 15 both wrote statements about the abuse to them and to the smallest 4 children, I and my new partner did the same. To my shock....the judge didnt even look at the statements and granted my ex that i was not allowed to leave the country with the children! He was asked to not contact me or the children until a list of abuse was issued and a cafcass report was done. My eldest children are totally unhappy about this and wish to take criminal legal action for the physical and emotional abuse. The only medical record I have is an issue for my now 15yr old to see a phyciatrist. Do we have a change to prosicute my ex? I am willing to also willing to prosicute on behalf of the 4 younger children. Please give me as much advice as you can. I have to stop this man coming anywhere near the children!
